Special Pitcher Skills
Blue skills (in black text here) are generally beneficial while red skills are detrimental. Skills that are half-blue and half-red can be beneficial or detrimental depending on the situation. Gold skills are rare and more powerful versions of other skills. Green skills are skills that affect their AI when being controlled by COMs and will be in the COM Skills tab.
「威圧感」(Intimidation)
When pitching in relief, the opponent batter’s Contact and Power decrease.
「重い球」(Heavy Ball)
The “weight” of the pitch increases, making it harder to hit a fly/homerun.
「回またぎ◯」(Across Innings)
When relief pitching, you tire less across innings.
「勝ち運」(Winner’s Luck)
Your batters’ Power increases.
「緩急〇」(Slow and Fast)
When throwing a slow changing ball after throwing a fastball (or vice versa), the breaking ball changes slower, and the fastball becomes faster.
「キレ〇」(Kire)
If the pitch breaks (changes direction), the break will be sharper when the ball approaches the batter.
「球速安定」(Stable Ball Speed)
Average ball speed increases.
「緊急登板〇」(Emergency Pitching)
When pitching as a relief pitcher, your Control increases for that inning.
「クロスファイヤー」(Crossfire)
When you pitch diagonally from the pitcher’s main hand (i.e. right-handed pitcher throwing an inside pitch to a left-handed batter), the ball appears to be moving faster than it actually is.
「牽制〇」(Pickoff)
The throwing motion of a pickoff becomes quicker.
「国際大会〇」(International Tournament O)
Control increases when pitching during International Tournaments.
「根性〇」(Guts)
When you are a starting pitcher, your decrease in ability will stop at some point even if you run out of stamina.
「ジャイロボール」(Gyroball)
If throwing a fastball or two-seam fastball, the ball looks faster than its actual speed.
「尻上がり」(Strong Finisher)
If you are a Starter pitcher, during the 7th and 8th inning, Ball Speed, Control, and break (directional change) increase. During the 9th inning or more, they increase even further.
「対強打者〇」(Versus Sluggers)
When facing a batter with at least Contact B or Power A, your Ball Speed increases and break (directional change) increases.
「打球反応〇」(Quick Reaction)
After pitching, you can field the ball quicker. Response time improves.
「奪三振」(Strikeout)
If the opposing batter has 2 strikes, your Ball Speed increases and your break (directional change) increases.
「球持ち〇」(Ball-holding)
You hold the ball for longer before throwing it, and the impact cursor is displayed later for the opposing batter.
「闘志」(Fighting Spirit)
Less likely to become dizzy and offsets the effects of the opponent’s Intimidator skill.
「内角攻め」(Inside Attack)
When pitching inside, you get bonuses to ball strength.
「逃げ球」(Escape Pitch)
If a mistake pitch is thrown, it’s unlikely that the ball will go to the center of the strike zone.
「低め〇」(Low Pitch)
When pitching low, your Control increases.
「リリース〇」(Release)
The pitching motion of a straight and a breaking pitch are the same.
「対ランナー◯」(Versus Runners)
If there are runners on first base, or first and third base, your pitching ability increases.
「立ち上がり◯」(Early Starter)
Your pitching ability improves during the beginning of the game.
「投打躍動」(All-Rounder)
The better you pitch, the better you bat, and the better you bat, the better you pitch.
「ナチュラルシュート」(Natural Shoots)
Straight pitches can turn into shoots (a different type of pitch).
「真っスラ」(True Slider)
Straight pitches can turn into sliders (a different type of pitch).
「要所◯」(Key to Victory)
In important moments, your pitching ability increases.
「力配分」(Strength Distribution)
You go easy on weaker opponents.
「ポーカーフェイス」(Poker Face)
You do not show visible signs of stamina fatigue or dizziness (it still affects you).
「荒れ球」(Wild Ball)
Straight pitches vary more, but the quality of the pitch may increase.
「ゴロピッチャー」(Ground-ball Pitcher)
The ball's trajectory after being hit is lowered.
「全開」(Full Throttle)
Increases stamina consumption but increases pitching ability.
「フライボールピッチャー」(Fly-ball Pitcher)
The ball's trajectory after being hit is heightened.
「一発」(One Shot)
If you lose control of the ball, the likelihood of it going to the center is 1/5.
「軽い球」(Light Ball)
The ball’s quality decreases, and it is lighter, making it easier to hit the ball higher and farther.
「国際大会×」(International Tournament X)
Control decreases tremendously when pitching during International Tournaments
「四球」(Walk)
If the opposing batter’s count has 3 Balls, your Control decreases drastically.
「シュート回転」(Shoot Rotation)
Straights and Fastballs will randomly turn into Shoots. Due to it being unintentional, these Shoots are weak and lower your pitching quality.
「スロースターター」(Slow Starter)
When pitching as a starting pitcher, during the first and second inning, your ball speed, the amount of “break” on your pitches, and your Control decreases.
「寸前」(Last Inning)
If you are leading in the 5th or last inning, your Ball Speed and your Control decreases.
「短気」(Short-tempered)
If their pitches get hit often, they are likely to make errors and their Control decreases.
「負け運」(Loser’s Luck)
Your batters’ Power decreases.
「乱調」(Confusion)
If you’re a starting pitcher, during random innings, your Control decreases greatly.
「ガラスのハート」(Glass Heart)
It is very easy for you to become dizzy if your pitches are hit consecutively.
「ノミの心臓」(Courage of a Flea)
When there is a runner in Scoring Position, your “break” decreases drastically.
「対ランナー×」(Versus Runner X)
When a runner is on first or first and third base, pitching ability decreases.
「怪童」(Ghost Pitch)
Your straights/fastballs look much faster than they actually are.
「怪物球威」(Monster Pitch)
Your pitches’ quality greatly improves, and it is very difficult to hit this ball high.
「ガソリンタンク」(Gasoline Tank)
You recover from fatigue very quickly.
「ギアチェンジ」(Gear Change)
When you are a starting pitcher for 5 innings, there is a runner on base and you are tied or have up to a 3 point lead, your ball speed and control increases.
「驚異の切れ味」(Wondrous Sharpness)
Your breaking pitches will break extremely late and very sharply.
「強心臓」(Strong Heart)
If there are runners in Scoring Position, your ball speed and “break” (amount of directional change) increases.
「終盤力」(Late-game Power)
If you are a starter, after the 7th inning, your ball speed increases by 4 km/h, “break” (amount of directional change) and Control increases.
「主砲キラー」(Slugger Killer)
When pitching against sluggers, your pitching ability increases drastically.
「勝利の星」(Star of Victory)
Your batters’ Contact and Power.
「精密機械」(Precision Machinery)
When pitching low balls, your Control improves drastically.
「走者釘付」(Nailed-Down Runners)
Your throwing motion becomes very quick.
「鉄腕」(Iron Arm)
It’s easy to maintain a good condition.
「ドクターＫ」(Doctor K)
When the batter has two strikes, your Ball Speed and your “break” increases.
「ド根性」(Serious Guts)
When you are a starting pitcher and your stamina decreases, the decrease in your ability stops early.
「内角無双」(Peerless Inside Attack)
When throwing an inside pitch, your pitch quality increases drastically.
「ハイスピンジャイロ」(High-spin Gyro)
When pitching a fastball or a 2-seam fastball, the ball’s speed appears much faster than it actually is.
「左キラー」(Left Killer)
When pitching against a left-handed batter, your Ball Speed and Control increases, and Stamina consumption decreases.
「不屈の魂」(Indomitable Spirit)
Even when your pitches get hit, you do not get flustered easily.
「変幻自在」(Phantasmic Pitch)
When throwing a slow straight, the pitch becomes incredibly effective.
「本塁打厳禁」(Home-runs Shutdown)
Pitches rarely deviate towards the center.
「クロスキャノン」(Cross Cannon)
When you pitch diagonally from the pitcher’s main hand (i.e. right-handed pitcher throwing an inside pitch to a left-handed batter), the ball appears to be moving much faster than it actually is.
「暴れ球」(Raging Ball)
Although it is difficult to control, you throw monstrous straights.
「完全燃焼」(Sublime Combustion)
Although it greatly increases stamina consumption, your pitching ability also greatly increases.
「超投打躍動」(Extreme All-rounder)
The better you pitch, the better you bat, and the better you bat, the better you pitch. But even better.
「ディレイドアーム」(Delayed Arm)
It's difficult for the batter to see your pitching movements.
「闘魂」(Fighting Spirit)
Pitch filled with your fighting spirit, negates Intimidation from batters.
「トップギア」(Top Gear)
Your pitching ability increases drastically during the beginning of the game.
